Grace Ann Laird, age 81, of McKeesport, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Born in Wilkinsburg, PA on July 4, 1944, she was the cherished daughter of the late Clarence and Ann (Pupich) Vesely.

A woman of deep faith, Grace was a devoted member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, where she found both comfort and community throughout her life.

Grace lived her life in the purest spirit of love, generosity, and devotion. She was a remarkable wife, a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother, and a steadfast friend. To know Grace was to feel welcomed, supported, and truly cared for. Her kindness was effortless, her laughter warm, and her presence a source of joy to all who were blessed to share in her life.

As a wife, Grace and her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” John Laird, shared a bond built on unwavering commitment, mutual respect, and a lifetime of cherished memories. Their partnership was a true testimony to love’s enduring strength.

Grace’s children—Melissa (Dr. Sean) Connelly of Mars, PA, and John (Sara) Laird of Forked River, NJ—were the lights of her life. She guided them with compassion, wisdom, and unshakable support, always their greatest encourager and truest friend. Her role as “Grammy/Grandma” brought her immeasurable joy. She adored Riley, Reagan, and Reese Connelly, and Grace and Jack Laird, celebrating every milestone, accomplishment, and moment spent together.

She is also survived by her loving brother, Ronald (Elaine) Vesely of Girard, OH, with whom she shared a lifetime of treasured family memories.
