Gladys Josephine Baer, age 79, of McKeesport, died peacefully April 13, 2012. She was born in Greensburg on August 16, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Freda Schmidt Taylor.
She retired from Kaufmann's Century III Mall in West Mifflin as a stock associate.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Baer; daughters, Deborah (Leonard) Krotz of Elizabeth Twp. and Joyce (David) Waratuke of McKeesport; grandchildren, Amy (Tony) Marcic of McKeesport and Rob (Chris) Waratuke; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Noah Marcic and Christopher Waratuke; brothers, James R. (Dawn) Taylor of The Villages, FL and Clifford Taylor of West Mifflin, Aunt Olive Schmidt Roman of Elizabeth Twp., nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by infant, son, Robert A. Baer and brothers Earl, William, and Harold Taylor.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Monday from 1-3 & 5-8 pm.
Services will be held Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kathleen J. Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
