Gerald Leonard Kampert

Gerald Leonard Kampert, age 80, of Duquesne, PA, died on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born in West Mifflin, PA, on April 6, 1946, and was the son of the late William and Dorothy Brdar Kampert. Gerald proudly served in the United States Army. He was employed as a burner for U.S. Steel before becoming employed by St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, as an orderly.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Gerald M. Kampert of Dravosburg, PA; and Brian Kampert of West Mifflin, PA; daughter, Kristie (Josh) Heard of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren, Parks; Phoenix; and brothers, David Kampert of McKeesport, PA; and Norman Kampert of McKeesport, PA.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, and Adam Striffler Galaski, funeral directors, 412 678 6177) on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 8:45 a.m. A procession will depart promptly at 9:00 a.m. for a burial with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA, 15017.
