Gary Lanning

Gary "Pappy" Lanning, age 66, of Dravosburg, died Oct. 29, 2011. He was born in McKeesport on Oct. 6, 1945 and is the son of the late Joseph and Nellie Speck Karabin. He was retired from construction work at Jefferson Hospital with 41 years of service. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Jacqueline Smith Lanning, beloved son Gary (Gina) Lanning of Pleasant Hills, the love of his life, grandchildren, Dustin and Camryn, and grand puppy, Tootsie, sisters Lois Neal of New Kensington, Donna (Mark) Evans of Glassport, Barbara Evans of McKeesport, Sharon Chandler of West Mifflin, and Kathy (Bob) Sacco of Dormont and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Patty Flynn.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, 740 Pgh.-McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, 15034 (412 678 6192) on Mon. from 6-8 pm and Tues. from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wed. at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
