Gary Kent Albin

Gary Kent Albin, 62, of McKeesport, formerly of Clairton, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. He was born in McKeesport on Dec. 20, 1950 and is the son of the late John H. and Verna Opfer Albin Kosar. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was assigned to Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, NC where his specialty was aviation armament systems of the A6 Intruder. Over the years he was employed by local companies; WABCO and Dura-bond as well as Boeing Corporation Louisiana.

He is survived by children; Courtney Albin of Glassport and Jon (Jessica) Albin of Pearland, TX, grandchildren; Joshua, Madison, Kyla Brooke and Jacob, siblings; Floyd Albin of Forward Twp. and Karen Spiedel of Pleasant Hills. He was preceded in death by siblings; Ronald and John "Butch" Albin.

Friends will be received from Mon. 4:00 until 7:00 pm Monday at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market St., McKeesport, 15132 (412-678-6191). Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at Noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Owston officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors.
