Gail E. Svetz

Gail E. Svetz, 75, of West Mifflin, formerly of Port Vue, died April 6, 2013. She was born in McKeesport on April 6, 1938 and is the daughter of the late James and Catherine Mehalik McManus and stepdaughter of the late Peter Yednak, Sr. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William J. Svetz, who died October 24, 2012 and her beloved step-brother; Peter Yednak, Jr. She is survived by children; Steve Svetz of Liberty Boro, Joseph Svetz of Port Vue, JoAnne (Gregg) Keck of West Mifflin, five grandsons; Joseph, David, Anthony, Billy and Michael, step-brother; Richard Yednak of Christi Park, cousins; Georgia Argus Summerville of Rome, GA and Louis Argus of Buena Vista. Gail obtained a degree from Bethany College and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family, hunting, fishing and being "logged on" to the web. Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market St., McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) on Wed. from 2:00 PM until time of service at 6:30 pm when services will take place in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
