Eugene J. Stepko, age 90, formerly of Elizabeth Twp. and Alabama, died March 23, 2011 in Atherton, CA. He was born in Glassport on April 4, 1920 and is the son of the late Joseph Charles and Mary Skerl Stepko. He retired from USX Clairton Works and Dravo in Pittsburgh and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 12001, in Millbrook, AL.
He is survived by wife, Virginia Baran Stepko of Atherton, CA. Also survived by children, Eugene J.(Susie) Stepko Jr. of Madison, AL and Kevin Jon (Sheila) Stepko of Kilmarnock, VA, Natalie (Kenneth) Klein of Atherton, CA and Karen (Eddie) Poole of Nashville, TN, grandchildren Laura, Scott, Cody, Matthew, Sean and Austin, siblings Donald (Dorothy) Stepko of Elizabeth Twp, Eleanor Danzak of Glassport and Marie Perrell of Kensington, MD.
Family and friends will gather at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market Street, McKeesport 15132, (412-678-6191) on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass Tuesday at 12:00 noon at St. Mark's Church, 1101 Romine Ave, Port Vue 15133. Burial will follow.
