Elizabeth Nagy of White Oak, formerly of Liberty Borough died Jan. 1, 2013. She was born in Czechoslovakia on Dec. 19, 1920 and is the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Vdomski Kovac and the wife of the late Joseph "Ty" Nagy. She was the owner of Betty's Beauty Shop in Liberty Borough for 20 years, worked at Striffler Family Funeral Homes and then Byers Children Shop in McKeesport. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Church and the White Oak AARP.
She is survived by daughter; Joyce (Neil) Laraway of White Oak, grandchildren; James Taylor of White Oak and Courtney (Heath) Blair of N. Huntingdon, great grandchildren; Tristan James and Jackson Joseph Blair. She is preceded in death by siblings; Ann Walicura, Mary Trbovich, Helen Gefert and Michael Kovac.
Services were held yesterday at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Burial followed at Irwin Union Cemetery.
