Elizabeth Vassel Johnson

Elizabeth Vassel Johnson, age 87, died March 24, 2011, at Cedars Community Hospice, Monroeville. She was born on June 6, 1923 daughter of the late John Vassel and Elizabeth Vassel (Fazekas) of Duquesne. Betty lived most of her life in Washington, DC and Arlington VA, and worked many years for Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc, in Washington, DC, eventually becoming the corporate secretary.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Walter Johnson, of Washington DC, and brothers John Vassel and Steven Vassel of Duquesne. She is survived by her sister Margaret DiMucci of McKeesport; niece Lynne Jesko of North Huntingdon; and nephews Robert DiMucci of Alexandria, VA; Donald Vassel of Acworth, GA; Craig Vassel of Walnut Creek, CA; and Eugene Vassel of Walnut Creek, CA.
