Elizabeth Louise Charney, age 86, of Glassport, died Nov.23, 2011. She was born in McKeesport on April 24, 1925 and is the daughter of the late Hugh Francis and Frances Bradley McVicker and is the wife of the late Albert Charney. She is retired as a bookkeeper after 30 years of services from Miller's Aviation at Allegheny County Airport, a member of the E. McKeesport American Legion Auxilliary, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a member of Corpus Christi Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Choir and Christian Mothers and served as a lector, a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan and Councilperson.

She is survived by daughters; Patricia Harris of Steubenville and Roberta Abaday of Guam, grandchildren; Robert Harris of Dalton, Georgia and Anastasia Harris of Steubenville, Ohio, great grandchildren; Naomi Cranston-Harris and Cyrian Harris, siblings; Margaret (Donald) Kutz of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Sr. Susan McVicker, RSM of St. Mary's Convent/Carlow University and Hugh (Joan) McVicker of Newport News, VA. She was preceded in death by great grandson Desley Sean Harris.

Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market Street, McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon at Corpus Christi Church with burial tol follow.
