Edward "Murph" T. Zidek

Edward (Murph) T. Zidek, age 90, of Port Vue, died May 3, 2011 at Overlook Green Assisted Living in Whitehall. He was born July 9, 1920 in East Vandergrift and is the son of the late John and Suzan Hiza Zidek. He is retired from USX Irvin Works and was a member of the White Oak American Legion, Post #701 and previously was an usher for St. Joseph's Church in Port Vue.

He is survived by children Claudia (Ray) Pollick and Deborah (Ken) Hromanik of Eliz. Twp. And Edward M. Zidek of Liberty Borough, grandchildren Edward Pollick, Kristin Hromanik Prezel, Kerri Hromanik, great grandchildren Taylor and Taron Prezel and Sebastian and Imre Pollick, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral mass will be Sat. at 10 am in Corpus Christi Church, 2515 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, 15132 and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.
