Edward E. Helmstadter, of McKeesport, age 97, died Oct. 28, 2010. He was born in
McKeesport on Jan. 26, 1913 and is the son of the late Adam J. and Edith Emily Barnes Helmstadter. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Josephine R. Matuschek Helmstadter, siblings, Glenn Helmstadter and Vera Schiemer. He was retired from USX as a foreman and a member of Kephart United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his children Edward E. (Martha) Helmstadter, Robert L. (Ruth) Helmstadter and David L. (Anita) Helmstadter, grandchildren Robin (Ray) Heiple, Matthew (Emily) Helmstadter, Mark Helmstadter, Christa (Chris) Warren and David Adam (Roberta) Helmstadter , great grandchildren Calvin, Daniel, Jacob, Sarah, Katelyn, Lidya, Cecilia, Leila and Kai and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Services will be held Sat. at 10 am in the funeral home chapel and officiated by grandson-in-law, Pastor Ray Heiple. Burial McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
