Edward M. Estok died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 5, 1930, in McKeesport, to the late Michael and Elizabeth Komar Estok. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia Laird Estok; sons, Gregory (Kelly) Estok, of Duquesne, and Paul (Mary) Estok, of Brunswick, Ga.; brothers, Michael (Maryann) Estok, of White Oak, and Paul Estok, of Versailles; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Betty Jane Estok and Bernard Estok. Edward worked at U.S. Steel National Tube for 37 years and retired as an inspector in Quality Control, he was a great role model and father to his children; very proud of his Slavic heritage and was an extremely spiritual individual. He was known for his generosity and kindness; he helped everyone from family to strangers. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corpus Christi Church.
