Edward A. Cochran, age 80, of Greenock, formerly of West Mifflin where he raised his family, died February 19, 2012. He was born in Coal Valley on January 28, 1932 and is the son of the late Harry and Edith Laughlin Cochran. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Barnes Cochran.
He retired from General Motors Fisher Body after 41 years of service. He graduated from Clairton High School in 1950.
Surviving are his children; Wade Cochran of Greenock and Janet and her husband Michael Bush of N. Hartford, Connecticut, grandchildren; Charlotte, Richard, and Courtney.
He was a former member of the F. & A.M. Lodge # 731, McKeesport.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wed. from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Jack Kelly officiating, at First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport, 15132. Burial will follow in Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
