Dorothy Slebodnik

Dorothy Slebodnik, age 86, of White Oak, died July 23, 2013. She was born in Duquesne on February 16, 1927 and is the daughter of the late Harold and Frances Palestra Dunmeyer. She is the wife of the late William A. Slebodnik and mother of the late William M. Slebodnik. She was a former member of the Ladies of Charity at St. Angela Merici, enjoyed gardening in her spare time and spoiling her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter; Frances (Edward) Holtzman of North Huntingdon, grandchildren; Lorin Holtzman of Trafford, Amanda (Kris) Lyons of Greensburg, Brian (Emerald) Slebodnik of Florida, Andrew Slebodnik of Florida, great-grandchild; Sierra Lyons, cousins; Francis (Teresa) Palestra and Philip (Cindi) Palestra both of Safety Harbor, Florida, Robert (Mariann) Palestra of Port Vue, Loretta (Paul) Bucciarelli of Cannonsburg, several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral will be Friday at 10 AM at St. Angela Merici Church. Entombment will follow.
