Dorothy "Dot" Emma Scott

Dorothy Emma "Dot" Scott, age 89, died April 13, 2011. Born in Donora on April 20, 1921, she lived in East McKeesport and was formally of North Versailles. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Lillian Jones Prezel and was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Hubert W. "Scotty" Scott who died June 12, 1990. She was also preceded in death by siblings Charles Robert Prezel and Lillian "Eve" Worthington. Versailles, Evelyn (George) Velardo of North Huntington and Janet (fiance) Kostic of North Huntington and brother Howard Prezel of Dravosburg. Grandmother of 9 living and 2 deceased grandchildren, great grandmother of 5 living and 1 deceased great-grandchild. She was actively involved in Merry Makers Bowling League, Senior Achievers at First Evangelical Free Church, Senior Americans at Banquets Unlimited, Choir member at All Souls Episcopal Church, and White Oak Post #701 American Legion. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131. (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor 412-678-6177). Services will be held Monday at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow.
