Dorothy Faix

Dorothy Faix, 91, of North Versailles died January 12, 2015. She was born in McKeesport on January 16, 1923 and is the daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Yednak Kaftanich and the wife of the late Arthur Faix.

She is survived by sons, Paul (Jan) Faix of Chesterfield, Missouri, Richard (Jane) Faix of Sarasota, Florida, James (Ursula) Faix of Sarasota, Florida and Jeff (JoAnn) Faix of White Oak; sisters, Eleanor (the late Ed) Zuber of North Huntingdon, Rose Marie Hanicak (the late John) of White Oak; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by siblings, Catherine Lindamood and Matthew Kaftanich.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way White Oak, 15131 (412 678 6177) on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Corpus Christi Church with Father Michael Maranowski officiating. Burial will follow.
