Dorathee Etzel Hrivnak

Dorathee Etzel Hrivnak, age 88 of Port Vue, died November 21, 2013. She was born in Pittsburgh on August 5, 1925 and is the daughter of the late Doraf and Margaret Steele Blakeslee. She was the wife of the late Howard Etzel and the late John Hrivnak.

She was a registered nurse employed by McKeesport Hospital until she retired. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church in McKeesport, and also volunteered for McKeesport Hospital and Grane Hospice Care in RIDC Park.

Dorathee is survived by her children; Howard (Susan) Etzel of Hollidaysburg, Karen (Walter) Pawlewicz of Westford, Massachusetts, Margaret (Domenic) DiLullo of Verona, 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister; Charlotte Katic of Penn Hills. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Lillian Beresford.

Services were held yesterday at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131, Supervisor, Sue Striffler Galaski, 412-678-6177.
