David "Dude" Raible

David "Dude" Raible, age 76, of McKeesport died at home January 9, 2015. He was born in McKeesport on October 26, 1938 and is the son of the late Thomas J. and Dorothy Ruettger Raible. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth "Cookie" Raible who died on March 6, 2013, his daughter; Cindy Weimer, and siblings; Thomas G. Raible and Dolores Argyle. Together they had 3 children, Tina (Scott) Bieda, Duane (Robin) and Diane Raible; grandchildren, Megan, Brendan, Darren and Mandy. He is also survived by his children, David, Bruce (Jamie), Kevin, Sandra Dansak, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Alvin (Kim) Raible and Dorothy (Tom) Scheetz.

Dave was the proprietor of the former Raible Fruit and Deli in McKeesport until he retired in the year 2000. He enjoyed long walks in Renzie Park with his dog, Ted, feeding the birds and wildlife. He also enjoyed baking pies and cookies and using his i-Pad.

Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Homes, 600 Market St., McKeesport 15132 (412-678-6192) on Monday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Lebanon Chapel Mausoluem.
