David Elias

David Elias, Sr., age 94, of North Versailles died August 4, 2014. He was born in Donora on January 4, 1920 and is the son of the late Jameil and Manira Nader Elias. He was employed at Westinghouse Air Brake in Wilmerding and was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a past elder at Union Presbyterian Church in Wilmerding and a former member of the Shriners. After he retired he loved to travel with Lottie to Florida during the winter months. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and Penn State.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years; Lottie Belle Shearer Elias, children; Mona (Jack) Cycak of Irwin, David (Marilyn) Elias of Manor, James (Rowena) Elias of Commerce City, Colorado, Tanna (John) Pugh of Bellefonte, grandchildren; Lauren (Jake), Ashley (Rob), Elizabeth (Ralph), Kristina, Christopher, Curtis, Kaitlyn, Erin, Emily, Matthew, great-grandchildren; Ryan and Carter, sister; Fanny Elias of White Oak. He is preceded in death by siblings; James, Sue, Esper, Sara, and Mike.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m.
