Daniel Joseph Sherbine

Daniel Joseph Sherbine, Sr., age 85, of McKeesport died July 29, 2010. Born in Glassport on June 19, 1925 he is the son of the late Joseph and Ida Zagst Sherbine. He is survived by his wife Dona Guiser Sherbine. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Airforce as a Navigator in WWII. He was a General Superintendent of Bucyrus-Erie. Former Board of Directors Member of the Auberle Home. Founding member of the White Oak Athletic Association. Past President of Parish Counsel of St. Angela Merici Parish. Also a member of the Holy Name Society.

He is also survived by his children Maura (Michael) Cotter of North Canton, OH, James Phelan (Susan) Sherbine of Vorhees NJ, Paul Francis (Karen) Sherbine of Metuchen, NJ, grandchildren Sarabeth, Emma, Daniel, and Matthew, and great grandchild Riley.

Preceded in death by son Daniel J. Sherbine, Jr., and granddaughter Krista Cotter.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Service, Inc. 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass will be at St. Angela Merici Parish in White Oak on Monday at 10:30AM
