Charles Alton Neuschwander

Charles Alton Neuschwander, age 81 of White Oak died September 17, 2013. He was born in McKeesport, October 17, 1931 the son of the late Alton and Mildred Surgeon Neuschwander. He was in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was employed by Westinghouse Atomic Plant as a Project Manager until he retired. He was a graduate of McKeesport Area High School and received a B.S. Degree from Slippery Rock University. He was a member of the White Oak American Legion, a former director of the White Oak Athletic Association and a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church

He is survived by his wife, Stella Pandel Neuschwander, his sons; Dr. David Neuschwander and wife Stephanie of Murrysville, Paul Neuschwander of White Oak, grandchildren; Paulina, Nicholas and Athena.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 pm with Trisagion Services at 7:00 pm. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 10:00 am with Fr. William Zotis officiating. Burial will follow in McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
