Charles "Sr." J. Hollis

Charles J. Hollis, Sr., age 85, of McKeesport, formerly of Smithdale, died June 2, 2011. He was born in McKeesport on Dec. 12, 1925 and is the son of the late John Theodore Hollis and Edith Mae Jeffers Hollis Glasser. He was a retired bus driver for Elizabeth Forward School District and was a WW ll U. S. Army Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marcella McShane Hollis, children Margaret "Peggy" Hollis and Charles Hollis both of McKeesport, grandchildren Charles, Jennifer and April and great grandchild Matthew.

Friends will be received at Hunter Edmundson Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market St, McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) on Thurs. from 10:30 until 11:00 am. Burial with military services will take place at 12:30 pm at the National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
