Carrie Ann Lavely

Carrie Ann Lavely, 79, formerly of Johnstown, PA, peacefully passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, on April 12, 2026, at The Palms at O’Neil, in McKeesport, PA. Born on January 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Bernice (Horton) Oldham. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, John D. Lavely.

Carrie, also known to many as “Corky” and “Gigi” is survived by her devoted daughter Michelle (Matthew) Rigo, of North Huntingdon, PA; son Michael Z. (Teresa) Lavely of Johnstown, PA; grandchildren Megan (Mark) Dami; Mackenzie (Daniel) Cannon; Chase Rigo (fiancé Madison Stiffler); Olivia Rigo; Parker Rigo; great granddaughter Josephine Dami; sister Janene (Oldham) Groff and several nieces and nephews. Carrie is also survived by her best friend and caregiver, Peggy Kauffman.

Carrie’s burial took place next to her husband in Grandview Cemetery in Johnstown, PA. Arrangements were cared for by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
