Buddy Joseph Diamond, age 77, of McKeesport died October 7, 2010. Born in McKeesport on February 7, 1933 he is the husband of Eileen "June" Kitchen Diamond and son of the late Harry and Mildred Robinson Diamond. He retired from Bell Telephone after 35 years of service. He served in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean War as an Aircraft- Arm Mechanic, where he received a Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a United Nations Ribbon. He was a member of the White Oak American Legion Post #701 and the Civil Air Patrol.
He is survived by children Linda (Dennis) Kenyon of East McKeesport, Debra (Roy) Cox of Pittsburgh, Cheryl (Richard) Murray of Upper St. Clair, Russ Diamond of McDonald, PA, Lewis Diamond of McDonald, PA, Thomas Diamond of Raleigh, NC, Brenda (Pete) Schlicht of Cape Coral, FL, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) on Friday, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel, Saturday 11:00AM. Burial to follow.
