Betty Mae Stanich, age 86, of Altoona, formerly of McKeesport where she resided for over 60 years, died Sept. 3, 2011 in Altoona, PA. She was born in Duquesne, March 25, 1925 and is the daughter of the late William Kenneth and Ethel Kimmling Yotter. She was a devoted member of the former Sacred Heart Church and its Choir and was a graduate of McKeesport High School and was active in planning the class reunions. In Altoona she was a member of the Calico Quilters Guild in Hollidaysburg.

She is survived by children; Kimberly Kiraly of Altoona, John (Cindy) Stanich of Bethel Park, James (Deborah) Stanich of Ruffs Dale, PA Michelle (Emil) Olson of Jefferson Hills and William (Barbara) Stanich of Reading, PA, 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and sister Lois (Dan) Deaton of White Oak.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor) 412-678-6177 on Tues. from 2-8 pm. Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church on Wed. at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
