Betty J. Dudek

Betty J. Dudek, age 87, of White Oak, died Sept. 14, 2013. She was born in Turtle Creek on Jan. 28, 1926 and is the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Ballash Missentzis. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Dudek who died May 25, 1972. She was also preceded in death by sisters; Magdaline Lichy and Rosalie Pergantis and on Feb. 10, 1951, her brother, Cpl. Michael Missentzis who was killed in the Korea Conflict.

She was retired from the McKeesport Area School District as a cook and was the manager of the White Oak Elementary School cafeteria. She is a member of St. Angela Merici Church and is survived by loving friends and neighbors.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Wed. at 10:00 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church with Fr. Stephen Chervenak officiating. Burial will follow.
