Beryl Ann Long

Beryl Ann Long, age 61, of White Oak died August 14, 2011. She was born in McKeesport on Sept. 6, 1949 and is the daughter of the late Paul Schaum and Louise Frye Schaum McCandless. She was a Reference Testing Coordinator for UPMC Shadyside. She is survived by children Mark (Terri) Griffiths of Johnstown, Michael (Katie) Griffiths of Radcliff, Kentucky and Lauren Long of White Oak, grandchildren Anna Marie Poppe, Noah Brough, Dexter and Emma Griffiths, and Morgan Fox, sisters Paula (Randy) Guinther of Latrobe and Jeanne Schaum of Butler, Step Mother Judy Schaum of Washington, PA, Step Father Edgar McCandless of White Oak and devoted companion and love of her life Ron Prest of West Mifflin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Friday from 10am until Noon when services will be held. Officiating will be Pastor Charles Owston.
