Bernadette J. D’Antonio, age 84, of White Oak, PA, died on Monday, August 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on January 1, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Milan and Mary Pecar Mulac. She was employed as an administrative secretary for the University of Pittsburgh for twenty years.
Bernadette is survived by her husband, Frederick D’Antonio; daughters, Natalie (Christopher) McMurtrie of Pittsburgh, PA; and Mila (John) D’Antonio-Noakes of Bethel, CT; grandchildren, Declan McMurtrie, age 15; Nolan McMurtrie, age 11; and Evelyn Noakes, age 11; and sisters-in-law, Irene Mulac of McKeesport, PA; Barbara Mulac of Kansas City, MO; and Helen Mulac of SC.
In addition to her parents, Bernadette was preceded in death by her brothers, John (Helen) Mulac; Anthony Mulac; Mark (Roena) Mulac; George Mulac; Milan Mulac; and Joseph (Laurae) Mulac; and sisters, Anna Mae (George) Werber; and Sr. Rosemary Mulac.
Bernie was a proud member of Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church, volunteered for many committees and played on the bell choir. She spent her free time creating beautiful artwork with colored pencils, painting rocks, sewing; thrift shopping and playing Scrabble with her many friends.
Her favorite role was that of Mom and Mimi. She loved traveling to Connecticut to visit her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, and watching her grandsons play sports for the Avonworth Community.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church, 1665 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA, 15131, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. for fellowship and light refreshments. A memorial service for Bernadette will begin immediately following at 3:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Stephen Wilson.
