Arleen Thomas Schmidt

Arleen Thomas Schmidt, 76, of Dravosburg died August 26, 2015. She was born in Cannonsburg on December 3, 1938 to the late George Thomas and Mary Ann McCartney Thomas. Arleen was a graduate of St. Peter's High School in McKeesport and a member of Corpus Christi Parish. Arleen worked as a receptionist for Westinghouse transportation division. She was an avid reader and considered her greatest joy to be her family. She is preceded in death by son David Schmidt and sister Carol Bradley. She is survived by daughter Maureen (Bill) Cleary of North Versailles, daughter; Suzanne (Jim) Spakauskas of Gibsonia, daughter; Jennifer (Jeff) Meier of Pittsburgh, son; Ron (Kelly) Schmidt of North Huntingdon. She was a loving Meme to 10 grandchildren; Brandon and Jordan Cleary, Laura, Michael, Joshua, and Tyler Schmidt, Marty Konopka, Brian and Rachel Spakauskas, and Amy Hentzschel, and 4 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin Inc., 740 Pittsburgh-McKeesport Blvd. Dravosburg PA 15034 (412-678-6192), on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Services will be held on Saturday at 10am at Corpus Christi Church with Father Michael Maranowski officiating. Entombment will follow at Lebanon Mausoleum.
