Alexander P. Robb, age 95, of McKeesport, died Monday, May 28, 2012. He was born June 6, 1916, in Russellton, and is the son of the late George and Theresa Oraz Robb. He was the beloved husband of the late Velma Pogan Robb.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 44 years of service and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 68th Armor Division and received the Purple Heart.
He is survived by son, Thomas (Sherry) Robb of Bluffton, S.C.; grandchildren, Tiffany Robb, Gina Patrick, Renee (Nick) Inman and Danielle (Jess) Goshorn; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Sophia Nimmer, Liam Cole and Ezra Goshorn; sibling, Joan Gazdik, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, John, George, Leonard, Julius, Samuel and Ernest Robb, Anne Toth and Shirley Mae Keller.
Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market Street, McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm. A funeral Liturgy for the deceased will be held by, Father Donald Voss, in the funeral home chapel Friday at 11:00am. Burial will follow.
