Albert M. "Al Snow" DiVirgilio, Sr., age 91, of Clairton, died Oct. 24, 2012. He was born in Delmont on April 10, 1921 and is the son of the late Michael and Edith Mitchell DiVirgilio. He was retired after 43 years from USS Clairton Works as a boiler maker and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He is survived by his children, Denise Pellegrino with whom he resided and Albert DiVirgilio of Forward Twp.; stepchildren, Linda (Garner) Heath of Elizabeth, Maryann Morey of Texas, Faith Murphy of Phoenix, Arizona, Roland (Kathy) Crookham of Carnegie, PA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Henry (Betsy) DiVirgilio of Perryopolis, Russ DiVirgilio of Pleasant Hills, Edmond (Beatrice) DiVirgilio of Detroit, Mich., Dino (Norma) DiVirgilio of Perryopolis, Louise Giovannelli of Perryopolis and Loretta Gabor of Cleveland, OH.
Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market Street, McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) on Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Schermerhorn officiating. Entombment will follow in Lebanon Chapel Mausoleum of West Mifflin.
