Ocie Jackson ""Jack"" Yarborough

Ocie “Jack” Yarborough, age 78, of Port Vue, died Thursday, July 13, 2017.  He was born in Scranton, S. Carolina on Oct. 7, 1938 and is the son of the late OC and Elizabeth Williams Yarborough.  He was the proprietor of Yarborough Development and OC Treat N Eat both of Port Vue, a former partner of the Youghiogheny Country Club, former South Allegheny School Board Director, was devoted to running his businesses, loved to cook and enjoyed cutting his grass.  He is survived by his wife, Sheryl “Sherry” Zirkle Yarborough; children, Justin and A.J. Yarborough, both at home, granddaughters; Casey (Michael) Thorwart, Jaclyn (Mark) Trombulak and Ashley (Justin) Douglas; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Olive Kohler of Jacksonville, FL, Janet (Larry) Smith of Cassatt, SC, sister in law, Annie Yarborough of Scranton, SC and mother-in-law, Shirley Zirkle of Port Vue. He was preceded in death by children, Jeffery P. Yarborough, Roy J. Yarborough, June E. Yarborough Ripple, brother, Willard, and sisters, Donna Mae and Joyce. Friends and family may be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA  15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Church in Port Vue with Father Daniel Straughn officiating.  Burial in Round Hill Cemetery. The Yarborough family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and staff members of UPMC McKeesport for their years of excellent service.
