Mary Rogers
January 5, 1924 — August 14, 2020
Mary “Metzi” Rogers, age 96, of N. Huntingdon, formerly of Munhall, passed away at home in the comfort of her family, on Friday, August 14, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 5, 1924 and is the daughter of the late Edmund and Esther Young Rogers. She was an aid at the former Homestead Hospital and then an aid at Jefferson Hospital. She dedicated her life to her family by sharing of herself.
She is survived by her sister Ardith Smerkol of White Oak, many nieces and nephews, including Maureen and James Fichera with whom she resided. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews as well.
Mary was preceded in death by siblings, Dolores Deegan, Patricia Leech, Donald Rogers, Ed Rogers, William Rogers, and Thomas Rogers.
Family gathered at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services (412 678 6177) on Wednesday, Aug. 19th, 2020 and services followed with burial on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020.
