Jean Michalek, age 86 of White Oak, and also Conneaut Lake, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born in McKeesport on May 19, 1930, the daughter of the late Andrew and Nellie Long Frencik. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Michalek, her brother Hank Frencik and sister Eleanor Richards. Jean was the co-owner with sister, Esther of the former Sister Fashions in Rainbow Gardens in White Oak. She was in the clothing business since she was 17 years old. She is survived by her son, Edward E. (Vicky) Michalek, Jr. of N. Huntingdon, grandchildren, Ryan & Kelly Michalek, sisters, Esther Vidale of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Lillian Bilarski of Riverview, Michigan, also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, March 24, 2017 from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 5:30 pm at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177).
